Mesa 7i95T + 7i83 firmware needed? was created by m0602232
Hello everybody!

This is all quite new for me so please correct me if I mix up things.
I'm trying to configure a 7i95T + 7i83 for 4 analog servo + analog spindle. Do I need specific firmware for 7i95T to enable analog outputs?

Nope, i think not, you just need a cut CAT5 or 5E or 6 cable, plug the connector to the 7i83 and the other side with dangling wires, wire to on of Smart Serial ports.
Get the 7i95T manual first, see the color coding for wiring.
And connect the power supply also, see manual for voltage.

Thanks for reply.
I got them connected and the pins in both boards are visible in Halshow. But don't I need 5 PWMGens? An error opening LinuxCNC reports that there is only one available.

The 7I83 analog outputs are addressed in HAL as 7I83 analog output pins
so no pwmgen involved.
