Planetcnc MK3/4 controller with LinuxCNC?

Hello everyone,

I don't know if this is the right subforum.
is it possible to operate the MK3/4 controller with LinuxCNC?
I already asked the question in the forum planetcnc, but received no answer.

Connection:
(Linux)PC -> LTP Port -> 26 pin header MK3/4 Controller ?
USB is not possible

Background:
I bought a new WHB04-4 handwheel about 6 years ago and since it does not work with TNGv2 I would like to use it in LinuxCNC.
Has anyone tried this?
Handwheel WHB04-4 with this combination?

ich habe mir früher selbst schon mal dieses Board angesehen.
Meines Erachtes ist dieser 26 pin header ein Ausgang mit einer Auswanhl Signalen wie an den Schraubanschlüßen. 
Aus meiner Sicht geht bei dem Board die Verbindung zum PC nur über USB.
Leider steht dies nirgends genau.

Für LinuxCNC-LPT  Betrieb gibt es diese einfachen und billigen China-Boards von 8-20€. Einfach unter dem Begriff "MACH3 CNC Breakout Board" suchen.

Danke für deine Antwort.Ich habe damals(ca.8 Jahren) mit LinuxCNC schon angefangen.Da hatte ich ein TB6560 Board von Modellbau Letmathe.Ich begann mit einen (China)Kreuztisch.Dann baute ich mir eine Portalfräse.Irgendwie bin ich auf den Planetcnc Controller gestossen.Denn habe ich genommen.
Zum Schluß wollte ich wieder umsteigen auf LinuxCNC.Habe mir dann eine MESA 7i76E gekauf und einen VFD mit Spindel.
Dann wurde ich krank und das Geld wurde knapp.Da verkaufte ich die Karte und Spindel wieder.

Jetzt habe ich nur das USB Board,die Motortreiber(Endstufen) und meinen Schaltschrank denn ich damals gebaut habe.
Ich habe sogar einen Pendant gebaut.Als USB HID Device,mit einen Teensy 3.2 und Joystick/Keypad.

Jetzt wollte ich das WHB04-4 Handrad in Planetcnc integrieren.Geht aber irgenwie nicht.Habe die .rules geändert usw. ......

Ich habe mir gedacht,man könnte die 26pin Schnittstelle verwenden.Ohne viel umzuverdrahten.

Hab gleich einen Termin.Melde mich wieder.

Thanks for your answer.I started with LinuxCNC back then (about 8 years ago).I had a TB6560 board from Modellbau Letmathe.I started with a (China) cross table.then I built myself a portal milling machine.somehow I came across the Planetcnc controller.because I took it.
Finally I wanted to switch back to LinuxCNC and bought a MESA 7i76E and a VFD with spindle.
Then I got sick and ran out of money, so I sold the board and spindle again.

Now I only have the USB board, the motor drivers (power amplifiers) and my control cabinet that I built back then.
I even built a counterpart as a USB HID device with a Teensy 3.2 and joystick/keypad.

Now I wanted to integrate the WHB04-4 handwheel into Planetcnc, but somehow I couldn't. I changed the .rules etc. ......

I thought you could use the 26pin interface without having to rewire much.

I have an appointment in a few minutes.

vielleicht liegt ja nur ein Mißverständnis vor.
In deiner ersten Post schreibst du das USB nicht möglich ist. Warum? Ich sehe an der Platine aber 2 USB-Stecker.
Das Handrad WHB04-4 Handrad oder dein selbst gebautes Pendant werden am PC eingesteckt und nicht an der Platine (wie bei LinuxCNC auch). Und diese PlanetCNC Platine wird dann auch am PC eingesteckt.
Siehe cnc.zone/hardware/accesories/acces-whnd der Satz "Connect the USB dongle with your PC's USB port."
Natürlich funktioniert dann aber nur die PlanetCNC Software, nicht LinuxCNC.

wo sind 2 USB Anschlüße? Auf der PlanetCNC Platine ist nur einer(zum PC).
Du hast die 2 USB Stecker gesehen.Nein,das war/ist nur ein anderes USB Kabel zum testen gewesen.
Ich meinte,LinuxCNC mit USB geht/funktioniert nicht.
Schon klar,das das Handrad und die PlanetCNC Platine am PC eingesteckt wird.

du hast wahrscheinlich Recht.Der 26 pin Header ist eine Auswahl an Ausgängen.
Dann muss ich überlegen,was ich jetzt will.

Aber die Planetcnc Software läuft ja auch auf Linux(Mint).Bei mir ja auch.TNGv2 for Linux64Bit.
Da geht es ja auch über USB.......
