Hi again everyone.

I have a new problem that just turned up on my machine, probaly an easy fix.

I haven't been on the machine for about 3 weeks, shut it down as usual.
When I went to start it I got to the main window. but when I tried to start it up I got A
" joint 0 on limit switch error"
" joint 1 on limit switch error"
" joint 2 on limit switch error"

I have full power to the 7i76 or 7i77, cant remember which it is. any help would be great.

Thanks again everyone

Looks like you need to do some circuit tracing with a voltmeter

Have you lost the common connection to the limit switches?

Do the limit switch outputs change state when you trip the limit switches?

Checked voltage and all is good. I went to the hal meter and tried tripping my x-home switch and kept showing false.
The hard limits showed up true

Did you check the the voltage at the 7I76/77 inputs when you tripped the switches?

(Measure inputs to TB2 pin 8)

I have had limit switches fail on our brother tc32a machines with the brother CNC control it causes a similar error, non-specific to a particular axis as I recall. Due to the location and potential for contamination the problem usually can be traced to an x axis switch. Test each switch with the wires removed using a multimeter to find the one that isn't working. The switches have a NO and NC contact, make sure to sure to note the connection when you remove the wires, the schematic for one of the limit switches on my tc32a is incorrect, if you have yhe schematic for your machine take this opportunity to check the schematic and make a note on it if it's incorrect.
