Retrofit Kocherscheidt mill from 1940's was created by Dominic
Hi Guys, right now I do a retrofit of a mill from the German company Kocherscheidt. The mill was produced in the 1940's. Had to do a complete disassembly at the place where i bought it in order to be able to bring it into my cellar.
I already recieved TBI ballscrews and plan to update to these within the next weeks. I will use servos on all axis together with the Heidenain glass scales that came with the machine. Furthermore I will use Mesa 7i76e+7i85s+7i85, to have enough encoders for the closed loop, feed override, speed override and so on...

Did you have a good look around at the collection site for an overarm bracket for the horizontal spindle?
The square plate behind the vertical spindle looks strange. Is that original?
Is that a slotting head on the wheeled trolley? I guess that might explain the square flange.
