Sketchup

I am currently using Sketchup in winXP for drawing. I use SketchUCam plugin to generate the Gcode, then I have to reboot into Ubuntu to run LinuxCNC & cut. If I need to adjust then I have to reboot to XP.
Is there a way to ru sketchup in Ubuntu? I have read about using Wine.Wanted to check if there is any other way before I dive into wine
