hi i have recently change to debian wheezy only to days ago .im just trying to copy some folders to lib/firmware/hm2/ and i cant
because i dont have acces to do so.
i probably need root acces how do i get that so can copy and paste these folders ???.
im trying to copy xml and .pin files for mesa 5125-7177card to correct folder in order to get pncconfig working properly.

to you know your password?
in a terminal type:
sudo thunar
it will ask for your password then fire up a file manager with sudo root access.
just be careful with it :0

i have flashed my 5125card and done a reload everything seem to be in order but when im in pncconfig and choosing" board name and firmware i cant choose num of pwm generators.
my choices of board are:5i25-internal data or 5i25.
firmware:7i77x2 with one 7i77 or :7i77x2.
i flashed my 5125card with 5i25_7i77x2.bit
when choosing num of pwm generator the number allways returns to: 0
any ideas??.

If you look at page 5 of www.mesanet.com/pdf/parallel/7i77man.pdf you will see that the 7i77 does not use PWM.
The analogue outputs are digitally controlled by the smart-serial interface.
So, you will find the analogue outputs on the smart-serial tab (probably, I can't check right now) rather than the 5i25 config.
