Simple GUI plugin for milling pockets, etc.

I have built a 3-axis CNC with wood router. I'm using LinuxCNC for various small projects bug I'm finding the CAD - > DXF -> Import cycle a bit of a nuisance for small tasks such as pocketing, etc.

Can anyone give me a pointer to a quicker workflow for this? I thought I came across a suitable plugin for the LinuxCNC GUI some time back but I can't find anything on a web search now.

I think I tried to install it at the time and couldn't configure it properly. I'll try again tomorrow evening.
