LinuxCNC - UC100 - Gecko G540 was created by Dave H
Is it possible to use LinuxCNC through a USB port to a UC100 then into a Gecko G540 controller? Or even ethernet?
I searched the forum and didn't find a clear answer.
I would like to use an older laptop to run my next CNC router, but it does not have a parallel port.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

USB is a definite "No"
But Ethernet works. You can connect a G540 to a 7i92M (It is even specifically mentioned in the description)
