I had some trouble with my Huanyang VFD and modbus connection. There was always some delay between commands.
So I want to switch back to analog.

I've setup my VFD
P001 - to 1 to accept analog commands
P002 - to 2 to accept analog commands

I connected a 12v powersupply like this to my mesa 7i76
Like the picture in this thread
www.forum.linuxcnc.org/forum/27-driver-b...na-with-huanyang-vfd
But nothing happens so far.
What I'm missing?

I've just got a similar one working. Mine did not have rs485 (I would have ordered the next model up if I'd realized). This schematic might help ( the 7 pin connector is just there so that the control box can be used on another machine) regards, John.

Thanks but your looks a bit different
The V1, ACM and + and - look the same
But I'm not using any step/dir and those relais(?)

I'm using outputs from the 7i78 for spindle on and ccw. These are available as gpio because the step/dir function is not used in my config. Sorry for the confusion. relays are used to buffer the low op from the 7i78.

I'm a complete noob with this kind of stuff.
Still no idea how to connect it

I do have the V1, ACM and + and - the same way connected as you did.

I have this on my 7i76:
1 SPINDLE2
SPINDLE OUT
3 SPINDLE+
4 NC
5 SPINDLE ENA6
SPINDLE ENA+
7 SPINDLE DIR8
SPINDLE DIR+

Where does the enable and direction of the spindle go?

Mine is still on labbench, working on led and analogmeter.
But works fine.

Are you aware that you have inputs for step/dir etc. on the vfd and that you have to programm them in Pxx parameters so they get the functionality you need?

I don't know what to do with step/dir?

I had a Danfoss VFD before with 0-10v
And only connected the TB4 Spindle stuff to my VFD.
Where do I connect the DIR- DIR+ and EN- EN+ to my VFD?

Looking at the 7i76 manual, the speed control looks the same as the 7i78. My vfd an NF-9000 puts 10v+ve on the terminal marked 10v, and 0v on ACOM. I would check the volts on those connections.
On the vfd I connect FWD to DCOM for forward, and REV to DCOM for reverse. I would start by getting forward/reverse working with the correct terminals for your vfd ie just use a switch, (take care not to short anything out). When you have this working, you can look into whats needed from the 7i76. (I spent several hours trying to find a fault on the vfd, when the problem was an intermittent fault on one of the relays)

I do have a FOR and REV on my VFD.
But how do I connect it to the 7i76?

FOR to EN+
or REV to EN+
