Something strange has happened. I'm using version 2.7.14 with Touchy. While trying to install a new quadrature spindle encoder, I crashed Linuxcnc several times. I solved the crashing problem by fixing a typo. However, now there are no axes listed in the mdi. X, Y, Z, and A are all missing. I cannot set the origin or even do a G1 from the mdi. All that is listed are Q and R. Even older config files that previously worked do the same thing. I tried reinstalling Linuxcnc, but the same behavior persisted. Am I stuck in a wrong mode? Any ideas for me?

I should have mentioned that I am using a 5i25 and a 7i76. Also, all the axes home and jog just fine.

It isn't particularly clear to me what problem you are describing.
Could you attach a screen-shot?

I'm sorry. I meant to post a follow-up. There was a problem with the estop circuit. Once that was corrected, all the axis letters in the mdi appeared as normal. Thanks so much for checking.

Odd, I don't see why e-stop should have that affect.

I have just had what might be the same problem. Does this look familiar?
