Neat!

satiowadahc,

You think your updated driver shows promise?

I need a proper MPG/Pendant, having a lot of issues with my joypad.
Do you think I should go with one? I don't care if it's wired or wireless, would like to get something working without too much hassle. Be nice to easily move the X/Y/Z see their position and set my part home as well. Would be very helpful to my process. Now I am running back and forth between LinuxCNC/joypad/Machine.

Let me know if you have a recommendation.

Thanks,

Works with the simulator!

I'll need to check for a few more issues, such as it has to overwrite the old driver with out modifying the name. My next step from here is to refactor for a live machine running 2.7.

This is the first pendant Ive worked with, the machinists are using the xhc-hb04 but they're failing on the jog wheel. Give me a few more days and I should have better results

I am running "LinuxCNC Uspace 2.7.0 Debian 9 Stretch" because I have a MESA card. Will your driver be compatible?

Is this the MPG we are talking about:

Just thought I would double check, looks like if I order it today, it'll be here next week tuesday.

If you think that's the one to get I will order it straight away.

Thanks for your help!

I just set up a test box for it to compile over the weekend with LNCNC uspace 2.7 Debian wheezy. If it works on wheezy it *should* work on stretch.

I've tested it with
Kubuntu 16 - LNCNC 2.8, 2.7
Ubuntu 18 - LNCNC 2.8, 2.9
Debian Wheezy - In progress
Debian Stretch - In progress

I have it set currently for the 4 axis pendant but I can easily modify that for the 6 axis. The 4 axis seems to work really decent.
