New 7I76E install error when launching linuxcnc

So I just upgraded from whatever generic controller my kit came with to a 7i76e. I am still waiting for the power supply to come in for the desktop I will be using as the old one just died. So for now I am trying to get this working on my M1710 laptop.
I installed the stretch version of linuxcnc, changed the IP on the board to 10.10.10.10, got a ping from the board, and then ran pnconf setup. The laptop is connected to the board but the board isn't connected to anything else.
Oh and when I ran updates I thought the buildbot repo was 2.8 so I selected that and ran updates. Then after getting this error I realized my mistake, added the master repo and ran updates again.
When I try to launch the machine controller it gives the following error and report. It seems to me like it's an issue with the configs or something but more than I could figure out on my own. If it's an issue with it being a laptop I can wait till I get my mini tower repaired but it doesn't seem like that's the issue and if I can get things working on the laptop to get a behind schedule project knocked out it would be best.

Out of all that mess, this is the error

So you are referring to a non-existent pin. It may have changed its name with the move to multispindle support that is now in master.

I'd just comment that line out so LInuxCNC will load and open up halshow to review what pins now exist and edit it to agree with the current naming convention. From the Axis menus "Show Machine Configuration"

Hmm I don't know the 7i76e very well, but often the boards need field power to them before all the pins show.
