Inexpensive MPG - Pendant Recommendations for LinuxCNC

Looking at a WHB04B for $125 on Amazon, looking for something that would be easily configured for LinuxCNC in the sub $200 price range. I spent some time trying to get my shuttle to work and thought a proper pendant might be easier to configure and use.

My German is a little rusty, or non-existent.

I will borrow a XBOX controller and see if I can imitate the video. The translation is pretty rough

Thanks Andy, I couldn't get the setup to run for me, but I will try it again as I think it would be a better way to go.

I thought it was a non-functioning joystick at first, so I bought a brand new one on amazon:

one that specifically said compatible with linux

still had problems, I did get qjoypad to work fine though:

and it helps out a lot, but I will revisit the HALinput again.
