I ordered some mesa boards but forgot to order the ribbon cable to go between the 7i92 and 7i76. I know the cable between a 5i25 and 7i77/6 are critical but am just wondering if this is the case with the 7i92 also?

I was thinking about getting two DB25 and make my own cable about a foot long. Any issues I should watch out for?
I have a router retrofit this weekend and I need to do something.

They are not anything special, If you have a pile of old junk computers you may even already have a few.
As cheap as something like this is, why bother making them.

You need a DB25M --> IDC26 cable
these are a bit less common than the DB25F-IDC cables used for parallel
port expansion shown above.

We use
AMP 1658613-2 (Male 25 pin IDC) and AMP 1658621-6 26 pin IDC header

DB25 Pin1 --> IDC26 Pin 1 (wire 26 cut at DB25 end)

Or I can just plug the 7i92 directly in the db25 of the 7i76.
