Hi,
It works! the problem was the Marvell internal network card! Using the realtek card everything works correctly!

PCW and tommylight: if you come in the north of Italy (Val di Non) I will offer you a dinner!
Thank you for help

So, is there a preferred controller board? An examples of a currently build setup? How does CNCLinux handle the extruder?

LinuxCNC is the controller, so no controller board is needed as with other printers, but you do need a board with analogue and digital in/out's and preferably step generation, and some small relay or MosFet boards to switch on and off heaters and fans.
There are not many examples of using LinuxCNC for 3D printing but some do exist and there was a pretty big one on youtube but can not find it. Here are some examples:

I am currently have a Duet 3d controller board Duet 3. (Also, FastBot, and Replicate - BeagleBone.)

But I am running into issues. I have used the Gecko G540 4-axis driver controller board from my CNC router and CNC mill. Both use CNCLinux.

But, 3d printer board run differently (1:30 minutes in to the follow video):

The big different between CNC and 3D printing is the heat controller for the extruder and heat controller for the heat bed. Everything else is the same.

So, no off the self controller board for 3d printing on CNCLinux?

Also, how close are we for a Raspberry Pi 4 computer running CNCLinux? Need to update computer for router and mill.

My big disappointment with the Duet 3 is no warranty. You short a driver and you are out $300 usd.

Thank you tommylight for the useful links on the Raspberry Pi 4.

I have also reached out to Geckodrive. From their promotion video it seems their G540 can be used for 3d printing.
