7I97 - spindle and output problem

Hello, my name is Jan and I'm from Germany. At the moment I'm retrofitting a Hurco BMC-30 from 1992.
My Hardware is a Mesa 7I97 with the INI and HAL from @PCW (thanks you so much) and this is my first time with LinuxCNC. That HAL and INI from PCW worked fantastic with the original Axis Servopacks.
I have two problems now:
1. How I can control the Outputs OUT0 to 5? The Enable Outputs working fine.
2. I have problems to configure my spindle. I attached the actual INI and HAL. My output Voltage goes to 10V after turn on the machine. My spindle needs +/- 10V (max. 10.000rpm). The encoder gives 1024p/rev. What can be the problem for this?

All in one I can say, that I'm a big fan from LinuxCNC B)

Jan

The spindle issue is probably because you don't have the offset PWM mode selected
for the spindle PWM

The isolated outputs will have names like

hm2_7i97.0.ssr.00.out-00
hm2_7i97.0.ssr.00.out-01

etc

Hello and Merry Christmas,

thanks PCW, now all outputs are working.
I set the Offset PWM Mode to: setp hm2_7i97.0.pwmgen.03.offset-mode 1
Problem now:
I Enable the Machine -> Spindle Output = 0V
I set the Speed to any Speed (1-1000rpm)=> Spindle Output = 10V
I can not understand what is happening.
There are 2 photos in the attachment with speed 1rpm and 150rpm.
I'm a little bit confused where the problem can be.

Try it without the G96

G96 needs encoder feedback working...
(you can see that LinuxCNC is commanding a near infinite spindle speed)

Hi,

läuft deine Hurco mittlerweile?
Hast du die originalen Yaskawa Endstufen weiter verwendet?
