Do dc servo motor brushes make noise? was created by Catch22
I have been getting a bit of noise out of my Y axis servo motor, it is an SEM brushed 140v motor. The other day I tried turning the motor by hand with no power on and I can hear that same noise. Could it just be the brushes making this noise. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this before.

Yes, if they are worn out to much or at any point in time they were overheated so the springs are not so springy any more.Could it just be the brushes making this noise.
