mill conversion, 4 speed setup

I am just wondering in lcnc how one would setup a mill that has multiple speed settings and a VFD

it was obviously a manual mill with 4 speed settings
350rpm,
640rpm,
780 rpm
1450rpm

I have a vfd on it so whilst the speed is almost fully variable and could be overdriven. however I kind of think I should also use the gearing ratio / torque benefit at the lower speeds too if needed for tasks such as facing with large od cutters.

in mach3/uccnc you use pulley ratios to correct for changes in manual speed.

how would one do it with linuxcnc?

I know there is a gearchange component but this seems to be for only 2 speed gearchange

thanks for any pointers

I have my mill set up so that it detects which gear I have selected and sets the motor speed accordingly.
