Ahh there may be other name errors

You might try:

show all hm2*

(or upgrade to 2.9)

Yes, I will try upgrade to 2.9, but we had some problems with it in the past on RPi4,we had ready to use image on 2.8 and we were cautious sice 2.9 is not official distro.

Thank you very much for feedback

Exist way to use stable version 2.8 and 7i96s . But you must use RIP install.

1) Check if you have debian installation of LCNC.
Code:
apt search linuxcnc
2) if it finds something, uninstall it
Code:
sudo apt-get remove .....
3) Download branche 2.8 from github

4) Unzip it
5) Build LCNC
linuxcnc.org/docs/stable/html/code/building-linuxcnc.html
I struggled a lot before I managed to compile LCNC. It took me a lot of time. But now I only use RIP installation and I can say that the time spent learning RIP installation paid off.
6) Try to run Gmoccapy. For example the Gmoccapy sim.
If it doesn't work, install this:
forum.linuxcnc.org/gmoccapy/46202-buidli...-2-rip-with-gmoccapy
If Gmoccapy will work, it's already fixed. Andypugh tried to help me, but I didn't understand what he was trying to say.
7) Integrate Mesa driver from 2.9
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/pull/1899#issuecomment-1220953437
8) Rebuild LinuxCNC

I recommend RIP installation for everybody.

Code:
git clone https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc.git linuxcnc-dev git checkout 2.8
Is probably an easier way to get the code.
I like to make a seperate folder
mkdir devel
cd devel
and place all my cloned repos in there. It keeps things tidy...
