hey guys
just saw this when looking for a problem with yuhai servo drives myself
just want to say that i have used about 30 drives and motors from yuhai with no issues. and the encoder feedback works perfectly with no delay. and i get very low following error. the absolute encoders especially tune very nicely
this is mostly on big 5 ton machines.
cnc mills and routers and lathes
and yes CTB sells yuhai stuff sometimes
and yuhai also sells CTB
i know the sales guys from both companies.
apart from that i am just a guy in new zealand that is a happy customer and wanted to say that here
you can fine my machines on the forum here and

Now I saw this! What parameters did you load on the driver? If you can remember it would be very good. I wasted a lot of time trying. The last setting is without encoder feedback.
One motor makes a bad sound. My first experience with them is not good.

Can you take a photo of motor name plate and servo drive name plate plus also front of servo drive
I have the Chinese technical guy from yuhai on WeChat
They reply fast as.
You have to set motor codes sometimes. And if they are set wrong you will have issues.
Also just checking did you touch encoder at all?
If you remove them they have to be reset which is a pain

They can't solve the problem.
I have to use them without feedback in linuxcnc.

I understand that it is not good to add delay in the feedback. Can I make a protection that checks the actual position from the encoder and the position sent by linuxcnc . As the reading of the encoder has a delay of 4ms. If there is a difference greater than 0.1 mm, stop the machine.
I plan to temporarily attach a linear encoder to the z axis and measure what exactly the delay is.
if the answer is yes, how to do it the right way.

A stupid question. I'm trying to set up the feedback again. I reach the conclusion if I set a minimum error of 0.2mm and P 0.01 the linuxcnc works without following error . So feedback only works as protection? What do you think the accuracy of the machine will be 0.2mm or will it work with the accuracy of the pid regulator of the servo motor.
PS. Yes, I understand, I have to accept that the machine will not have feedback
@Becksvill I think you used them without feedback
