Pixeled screen on remote desktop was created by DanSta1988
Hi all,
This is my fist post on the forum.
I have a CNC setup running on an old PC. I wanted to have a go at it and try to go to a rapsberry pi 4B to run it. much more compact etc.
I have ordered from byte2 bot a board to make the raspberry pi with an serial connection connecting to a CNC break out board.
I have installed this LinuxCNC 2.9.4 Raspberry Pi 4 OS based on Debian Bookworm Raspberry Pi 4 Uspace compatible with Mesa Ethernet and SPI interface boards.
I have also installed xrdp and tight vncserver
When I connect from my home computer on windows 11 I am able to find the raspberry pi via my home network but when I log in I get a pixeled image. (see attachment.)
Is there something that has had the same issue and has an idea how to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance!

What network is the Pi connected to?
How is it connected to the network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)?
Why VNC?
Do you have a Mac (does not matter how old it is), or perhaps some other device with a VNC client, to troubleshoot?
(macOS works with VNC out of the box)
Windows does stange things from time to time; I don't think anyone knows why the Brightness icon sometimes does not show up or the "safely remove hardware" button just disappeared a couple times on my laptop (before I switched to Ubuntu).

Remote desktop has issues.
Set the CPU scaling governor to performance.
The Raspberry Pi might not be powerful enough for that.

Whoa!
That's some funky lookin' monitor you got there!
What the...!!!??
Broken GPU?!
Screwed up protocol?!
Linux graphics drivers are not always so great.

Sir your comments are not helpful, not correct and show a lack of understanding. I would say they are bordering on idiotic. Find somewhere else to be a dickhead.
Your first response should have been to ask what application & setting were being used on the windows machine, this information being left out is not helping. Addition of this information would be of great help.
VNC can be used over wifi, it's not just limited to cabled Ethernet. Actually you don't seem to understand the use of VNC. Remote desktop worked fine even with 10Mbps connections.
A GUI over a serial connection ? How much patience do you have ? You'll still need to run agetty.
Setting the governor to performance will not make any difference.
The RPi is plenty powerful for VNC.
Linux graphics drivers are fine, actually the whole Linux driver ecosystem is so much simpler than windows.
Please stop making shit up and reading tech articles from the early 2000's. You aren't helping, not being funny and this is even below trolling.

Now to address the issue.
If you could please indicate which software is being used on your windows box and the settings.
