MTConnect support actively developed? was created by terkaa81
Hi,
Is someone actively developing MTConnect support? If someone is working on this, maybe I could join the effort? My goal would be to establish MTConnect similar to Haas, and perhaps also the MDC support for Q commands.
P.S. Some of you might remember my previous project: installing LinuxCNC on a Cincinnati 10HC2500 HMC.

I don't know of anyone working on that, but loobric.com/blog/introducing-smooth-tool-data-sync might be of interest / related

Hi,
Yes, that's why I asked about active development, should have mentioned that post
If I manage to make something useful, does it matter if the code uses Python API or is written in C?

If you are writing an interpreter to plug into LinuxCNC than it should probably be written in the same language as the existing one. That isn't to say that Python couldn't be made to work (I don't actually know) but there would be more to copy and adapt in C++
