Hi everybody,

I am using PncConf to configure my CNC Laser but in axis Motor/Encoder X, Y or Z configuration it only permit maximum acceleration = 10000mm/s^2. Is posible increment this?

Other question. That refer the parameters Rapid Speed Following Error and Feed Speed Following Error?

Thanks

I can increase the max. but you'll have to wait for the next release.
What is a sensible max for laser machines?
In the mean time you'll have to hand edit the INI file.

Rapid speed following error is max error allowed while moving at max speed (eg. G0)
feed speed following error in max error followed while at feed speeds (eg G1 or G2 etc)
The faster you feed at the more error allowed.

In the present exist laser machine of 3G(aprox 30000mm/s^2) of maximum acceleration, even can be of 5G of acceleration(aprox 50000mm/s^2).

I don't understand, if I set G64 P0.001 this means that there is 0.001mm of desviation, then why feed error parameter? A error to rapid moves?
G61 (exact path mode) is not exact?

ok I will up the max acceleration to 50000 mm/s.

exact is never exact :)

there is always following error, however small.
The following error settings dictate when linuxcnc will stop and throw an error.

The g64 settings is for the naive cam setting which is different.
This is the deviation of the code's actual end points vrs the 'cam's' adjusted end points.
while moving to these end points there still could be small following error.
if the following error gets too large linuxcnc will throw an error.
following error is small - deviation is usually a magnitude larger (AFAIK)

Yes, nothing is exact :)

Now I understand, following errors in only to activate errors. Thanks my friend

I pushed the fixed upper limit of acceleration - available on builbot now or in the next bug fix release....
