PID settings Greyed Out?

Hi all,
To the point... Why are the PID options greyed out when I run PNCCONF?

More detailed for the benefit of others that may also have this issue...

I'm moving from 2.8.0 to 2.8.4 and copying over my settings by typing them into PNCCONF. In v2.8 I was able to change the PID values, but not in v2.8.4, they're greyed out. The defaults when I installed 2.8 were ~P=990, in 2.8.4 I'm seeing ~9090... The high default P was causing oscillation in my steppers. I edited the values in the INI file and that solved the oscillations, but of course running PNCCONF again would set them back to ~9090. So, I also changed the default values in the PNCCONF file so it defaults to 990, so running the wizard again will keep the desired numbers.

IIRC there is a selection for setting advance mode on the second page.
Should free up the PID settings.

Thank you! that was it...
"Show Advanced Option Pages" check box. I missed it.

That also brought up the "External Controls" page for MPG/USB game controller.

I'll bet that's in the manual...
I just didn't do the right search. I searched for PID Greyed Out... no results I could find.

Thanks Again.

Also, you can change PID settings at any time after creating the config, even during running LinuxCNC, from the "calibration" menu.
You can change, test, and save scale and PID and some other settings from there, all from LinuxCNC.

Good to know. I'll try to keep that in mind.
Lots to sort out when I'm just getting started.
