Newbie to GladeVCP was created by AThayer
I was wondering if someone could explain what I need to put in the Ini file so that I can start trying out GladeVCP? Also can I use one of the example files that is included with linuxcnc 2.7 weezy? Also can modify one of the example files to start my own VCP? Thanks

What you put in the INI depends on how you want to use GladeVCP. It can be standalone or embedded in existing GUIs, either as a tab or a sidebar.
(Detailed in the documentation
Editing an existing Glade file is probably a reasonably good idea, the editor takes a bit of getting used to. (and seems to crash a lot. save often)

I tried what is in the documentation put I didn't get a GUI or a new tab. So I was wondering if I was doing it right?

Start LinuxCNC from the command-line (command "linuxcnc") and you might get a clue in the output what is going wrong.

Ok what fold is ../? I get axis but not a gladeVCP panel. I was wondering if it was looking in the wrong folder?

../ is the folder that contains the current folder.

So how does it know where to find.
