spindle feedback and latency issues

got it working as intended!
Im not exactly sure, but i guess it was the nvidia driver swapping of my 7100GS
Scrolling in firefox is now much smoother, but still laagy
3d application gives about 1fps
access time HDD now 12.4ms

hi skunkworks,
had nearly no time for my lathe the last days, too busy working
the referencing problem still consists, homing isnt accurate (>0.1mm) on my machine and i do have no idea why.
repeat it 20times in a row and its <0.01mm
repeat it after 6hours and its >0.05mm on the dial
i tried it with a induction sensor AND a photo sensor, nothing gives accurate referencing and at the moment i set up all my tools after one homing and use the X-Offset feature to recalibrate all tools at the next homing procedure...

Is it maybe the size of my small benchtop lathe and thermal issues? night= -1° | day= +15° that "expands" the toolmetal of the crossslide?
