I've been tinkering with the .ini & .hal files and am a bit confused.

What actually determines the pulse width of the step output?

It appears to be some combination of entries in these two files, but it's not clear to me from the docs or the examples I've seen so far.

Yes I've read that and am still waiting for the light to shine.

If I want a steplen of 90us and a stepspace of 50us, how do I define that.

Apparently how often make_pulses() is called makes the actual pulses. But, what determines it's call rate? BASE_PERIOD?

setp stepgen.x.steplen is set to 1 in most examples I see. Is this 1 x times the make_pulses rate?

IIRC the step and direction timings are just minimums that the software uses and the timing may be more depending on a lot of things I'm not super up to speed with. It also depends on if you use the double step for the parallel port.
