Can ping but can't flash my 7i92

I had my 7i92 board working with a 7i77. I then bought a 7i85 and when I connected my 7i85 daughter board to the 7i92 board I forgot to move the jumper for external power. One of the jumpers smoked.
Now when I ping the board I get a response and It appears as though its connected but I get an "No 7I92 board found" error when I try to flash it. I tried to tried to do a fallback but get the same error.
Is there a method to determine if I damaged one of the boards?

Can you try at the fixed IP address (192.168.1.121)?

Though I really don't see how you can ping the card
but not have to respond to more complicated operations
(since the same hardware is used for any Ethernet operation)

What are the ping times? Do the 7I92 user LEDs count up on pings?

When I change the address to the 192.168.1.121 then ping the card I get a 56 data bytes as a return but nothing happens.
Can I pack up both of these cards and get you to take a look at them and flash the proper bit file
I have no issue buying a replacement if they are damaged but I can’t tell what’s wrong.
My project is at a stand still.
