Pulling my hair out trying to get homing working!

The only suggestion I have at the moment is to use the 'halscope' tool and look at 'hm2_7i96s.0.inm.00.input-01-not' while trying to home the x axis.

I loaded this system back in May and got tied up and didn't get back to it until now. I thought about starting from scratch but that is a major PITA. I have run the updates that I can find...
Thoughts?

If that is 'hm2_7i96s.0.inm.00.input-01-not' when homing the x axis then no, that is not what I was expecting. Since this is you home switch for that axis it would need to change once the switch is activated. If you press the switch manually do you see the signal change?Ok, tried that and the state never changes (if that is what you were expecting).
You can also use the 'show halconfiguration' tool or the 'hal meter' just to be sure that this is not a set up issue in the halscope tool.

This is OK, thankfully, it saves a lot of time and money - not very important, but it also hugely lowers the risk of interference on plasma machines - very important, hence all my plasma machines use this, a single switch for everything on one axis/joint.2. It's OK to have one switch for both limits (positive AND negative) AND home.

I'll take a look soon and report what I am seeing. Is there a setting - like a delay - that controls the time between when the home is triggered or should it simply disable the limit entirely? Could it be that it is changing but so fast that the motor doesn't have enough time to move of the switch? Just thinking out loud...
