Dis-respectful pieces of shit!!!
Their whole eco system and the money making machines are centered and solely enabled by open source software, yet here they are threatening people.
I feel ashamed that once upon a time i told my brother (in US) to get a printer from them.

I got one of these at Xmas and it's been excellent. It's often described as a Bambu clone. Currently £239 in the UK, arrived in 2 days and works locally without the need for internet or their Elegoo cloud. 320C, heated bed, wifi, webcam, PLA/PETG/ABS/ASA/TPU/PET/PC/PA etc. They do a multi colour version for £398 but I'm not a tart. I model stuff up in Fusion, export as STL and use the Orca slicer that supports it out of the box, controls it over wifi and doesn't seem to need any fiddling about.

Elegoo Centauri Carbon

One of my friends has one, and another has both types - a single color and a multicolor, i told them both to buy them, despite me having 4 or 5 or 6 of Voron 2.4R2, as the price is so low that you literally can not buy just the parts for it for that price. Voron have costed me form 600-800 Euro a piece, and a lot of time and effort, so if i started today, i would for sure go Elegoo.
Aaaaand they also are effin up with the open source licenses, but there were some positive moves a while back.
Hopefully i do not regret the advice given, again.

Haha was on the fence of buying one just because of the hype. I then went with a "cheap" Voron 0.1 kit instead. It was a pain to get it "sort of" running :-).
I am not willing to tune it to the end. (too lazy) I ended up changing the extruder, because the gears from the kit where not really good.
Now the Voron gathers dust :-) instead of a youknowwhat. ....
Question remains: is the youknowwhat really the solution to all the 3d printing let downs?

Some of this rubbish is because a company engages a IP lawyer and the lawyer fires off all of these unsubstantiated ambit claims so he can bill his customer.

The irony of a lawyer pushing that, is the more they irritate the customer and potential customer base, the
less likely people will be to purchase there products. Especially when it is heavily based off of open source

One case here in Australia, a  small winemaker  who sold wine under his own name Robert Chardon got a cease and desist letter from Moet et Chandon the Franch champagne brand thanks to one of those Lawyers. Robert probably sold 10 tonne of grapes a year if he was lucky when economies of scale says a winery needs to produce 1000 tonnes. He had to change his brand!

I've sold the business now but I sent a cease and desist to a large company infringing my trademark selling a counterfeit version of my product via Google ads which was an unwanted legal expense! If you have a trademark you have to defend it.

But the worst I heard was an Aussie one man band found Microsoft was using his patented software protection system (Probably on Windows) and his heart sank knowing he had no choice but to tell them to stop. By this time he was living in the USA and IBM helped him and he won the case. Not sure about the appeal though!
