Hello Guys, I live in Brazil. I installed Ubuntu 10.04 and EMC2. The board did not come hand with the parallel port, I decided to buy a pci parallel card, however the parallel port of the signal and not engines do not work. You are missing some detail the configuration of the EMC2?

Thanks to all

Take a look here...
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?TroubleShooting

Also from a terminal type
lspci -v

To find the address of the add in card.

What tests are you doing that make you think that the parallel port is not working?

There are so many parts of the system that can be wrongly configured that it is difficult to guess what is wrong.

You might find this useful:

(note that you will need to edit the first line of the .hal file to suit your base address, but try 0 and 1 too)
