The guide had the answer; it was Infrarecorder that I needed, too. The version of Nero I was using didn't have an image option (either that, or it is well hidden). Thanks.

Nero is a burning Software for Windows and Linux.
Usually you get this software to your drive for free (OEM).
If you want to download than you have to pay for it, but there is also trials available.
Check www.nero.com
I said nero cause it is the most common software.
There are a lot of free small burning softwares for writing an image disk (iso).
Infrarecorder is one of them: infrarecorder.org/?page_id=5
By the way please think and use Google.

hope i dont sound like a jerk, but if you aren't that computer savvy to know what Operating systems are, you wont have an easy time trying to use software and also connecting Motors to a Computer. CNC might not be your thing just yet, you should research stuff about computers. But hey, who am i to tell you what to do, just a suggestion. Plus, you always have to learn sometime, so why not with CNC?
if you need help with burning the iso so that it will boot up, check out my tutorial, Click Here for Tutorial , on how to do it with Nero. Version 5.5 is free, but i have a CD which i use.
I am not computer savvy if needing a different operating system other than Windows what will I do to install/use linux? (or should I say go about changing my computer over to a different OS)
