chipset for mine is based on ilitek, its a glitchy monster, I have had to play with various sensitivity settings to get it to behave(mostly). Oddly it will effect the standard mouse simultaneously when they are both plugged in.

I found a work around for my right click issue and that was the use of gestures using easystroke. it's not the best option but it gets it done

You may find you have to install more packages than what this guy lists in his last post in my case I also had to install
libxtst-dev
xserver-xorg-dev
The first part of this video she shows you how the gesture works for right clicking.

Hope this helps some of you.

Someone can help me?
I have an asus touch screen vt207 and the following version of debian and kernel
linuxcnc@debian:~$ uname -a
Linux debian 3.2.0-4-rt-686-pae #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Debian 3.2.73-2+deb7u2 i686 GNU/Linux

I tried to follow all the online guide to add the touch screen without success.
How can I add the ilitek driver in the right place? Is it possible?

I partially solved following this guide ( no multitouch):

wiki.ubuntu.com/Touchscreen

Before I added

load_hid_multitouch.sh to /etc/udev
41-hid-multitouch.rules to /etc/udev/rules.d

after I did:

sudo modprobe -r usbtouchscreen

echo "blacklist usbtouchscreen" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

sudo reboot

and now it works!

Mine is an Acer B226HQL which lsusb shows as 0408:3021, nothing like yours dracozny.

So are mine. I bought 2 of these, one for the lathe and one for the mill.
Mostly because I wanted to try Gmoccapy. But now they just work as screen protective devices. :(

Did you get yours running?

OK, so I called you and found out you did not. But I post this anyway to BTT as maybe someone else did?
