I am trying to upgrade to 2.8 off the network. I have wheezy 2.7 installed on amd64 machine. I am getting the following messages. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Did you try just clicking on the .deb file itself and letting the package manager install it? Seems to me the path is not correct to the file.

The package manager will also let you know what dependencies that are required in a GUI so its easier to understand.

I figured it out. I had to copy it into the "home" directory. I had to log on as root to do it. It ran great. I have the 2.8 now.
