emc2 freezes when I try to run my configuration

After setting up my xyz they all run and are perfect in setup, but then I save my setup and then try to go into it and it freezes every time. I cant do anything but turn off the power and restart it. I'm afraid I should of used mach 3 because it was working fine in demo mode but I just didnt want to pay the $$$$.

Could you explain what you are doing when you start EMC and what freezes? When you start are you able to toggle the Emergency stop then toggle the Machine power then home all the Axis?
