Hi guys i want to develop a laser printer for powder with a co2 laser. I want to do a 1x1x1m print size but fast. Not the xyz co2 engraving style. I was thinking doing a X and 4 Y axis plus z axis. Its posible to controle 4 galvanometers from a 1 bit image? I have 4 pcs of scanlab galvo and 200w co2 rf tube. I have a LOM printer that i want to test on it. The only problem is how to get from a slice bmp to a gecode. I plan to use a mesa 7i77 as the galvo use 10v. X axis with linear scale for precision and 4 pcs of Y axis and the z axis and the rest will be another plc. I have seen someting with image to gcode but its only one Y axis.

The Mesa Hostmot2 driver has a module for galvanometer control, if you are not aware of that. ( linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/man/man9/hostmot2.9.html#xy2mod )
There is discussion elsewhere about the datapainter module.
