Mesact 2 Setup

Using LinuxCNC Bookworm. Have downloaded file from packages.debian.org/sid/python3-distro . Not sure what to do with it.
Also tried adding linuxmint to Synaptic repositories. Not doing it correctly.
Some guidance would be appreciated.

What are you trying to do? Mesact is not in debian packages.

trying to install the python3-distro so the Mesact installer will work.

What Operating System are you using? All modern Debian based OS's have python3.

Debian Bookworm.
Please refer to page 1 of this thread.
The python3-distro is not included in the python installation.

Now I understand... let me look into this.

I sure wish Debian would not use silly names for OS versions it's just too hard to remember which one is which... 10, 11, 12, 13 I understand and can remember and know that 13 comes after 12.
