				Should home all home the A xis? was created by rodw

				Hi guys, I've just added a rotary axis to my gantry machine (YYXZA) running under 2.8.
However, the home all button does not home the the A axis.
Should it do so or is this a bug?

				What homing settings do you have for that axis (joint) in your ini file?
How do you want it to home?
If you don't want it to "do" anything, just declare the current position as home, you need to make sure that joint has these entries and settings in the ini file.
I think your config may be missing a few of them.

HOME_SEARCH_VEL = 0
HOME_LATCH_VEL = 0
HOME_USE_INDEX = NO
HOME_SEQUENCE = 0I think your config may be missing a few of them.

				Todd, Thanks, that answered my question in a roundabout way. Most appropriate for a rotary axis
I added your settings and now the A axis homes.
My problem was dodgy code generated by PNCCONF
Not a bug in Gmocappy.

				It wasn't so much dodgy code, as it was just that you had it configured for manual homing, rather than "Immediate Homing" with the "Home All" button.

Maybe not dodgy but I have to say PNCCONF's generated config for a slaved axis gantry was quite foreign for somebody who has only used V 2.8's superior joint axis features.
