Different tool heights? was created by Fumarmata

				Hello!
Sorry for this question, it might be obvious to you, but I'm a total newbie:
I just converted my HBM28 (aka TM25v / PM25MV / G0704) to CNC and have been able to run Linux CNC with Gmoccapy and mill a few pieces.
I don't have a tool changer, I have a collet where I manually change the endmills, so everytime I do a tool change, the height of the endmill is totally different.
What is the process to tell Gmoccapy / Linux CNC the height of the new endmill? Is there a tutorial, video around that I missed? Even a few keywords to start my search would help.
Thanks!
marc

Normally, most people would use either use the tool touch off, or just the the Z touch off to set the depth on a manual tool change machine. (I don't use Gmoccapy so I'm not familiar with its buttons.)
This kind of machine does not pay to try to use tool changes in a file. Set up a separate g-code file for each tool change you need to use.

				Thanks Todd,
With the touch off keyword I could get started. I'm running into other problems, but I think that I should open its own thread
Thanks!
