Hello.

Even though I have the gmoccapy settings set to start as a full screen, on startup the screen is always smaller than full screen.
I have to maximize it in order for it to cover the full screen with each start.
I have not had this problem with other computers running linuxcnc.

This is on a Lenovo Thinkpad.

Thanks for any guidance.

Cheers,

Marty.

Have you tried to delete the preference file in your config dir?

I know of one case, that an entry has not been taken in account after a copy the config to the new computer using a windows file system.

Thanks Norbert.
I will check the pref file tomorrow and see whether it has the correct setting. If not I will change it there.
I believe the parameter is screen1 or display1, something like that?
Can you tell me the possible settings for this parameter?
I guess it would be "window, fullscreen or maximized"?
Do I have the syntax right?
Thanks
Marty.

HI Norbert.
I have checked the pref file. It shows maximized.
When I change it to fullscreen, the display changes to fullscreen. But when in maximized, it only opens as a window each time. I have deleted the pref folder and reopened gmocchapy so that it would create a new pref folder, but the behavior is the same.

Interestingly, once gmoccapy is open I CAN push the maximize window icon in the top right of the screen and it does that correctly, just not as a pre-set from within gmoccapy to do it automatically...

The pref file pixel size is 979x768. I have tried changing the width larger, but the window size does not change.

Do you have any other suggestions to try??

Many thanks,
Marty.

what version of linux are you using? I wonder if it's a window manager problem.
