Gmoccapy interface jog buttons was created by Nick1001
Hello, I have a watercutter that I'm setting up with LinuxCNC as the old controller died. It has a motorised z axis with no feedback as it should be set before the program runs and left at that heigh, as such I'm trying to find how I can get the direct info of the z+ and z- buttons on the computer ui so that I can send that via hal to relays controlling the motor. Any help would be appreciated thanks

You want an output connected to a relay be active while you press the z+ button and another one for the z- button. Did I get that right?
If this is the case, I would suggest you to configure the machine with only two axes, X and Y, so that the Z jog buttons are not displayed. Then I would add a little VCP (virtual control panel) which adds you two buttons to control the Z relays.
The possible position of that VCP depends on your LinuxCNC version.Which version are you using?
