I don't understand how your spindle is working. all the spindle related lines are commented out.

Right now I have full functionality of a 2.4 PP with the least amount of changes I could get away with. that will help when there is a upgrade again.

Thank you for your time with this. I did try your ini files and hal files but they crashed out (for me anyway) with the usbio stuff in the hal file. I commented all that out but then it failed with one of the python files.

Would you be willing to publish the contents of the Tormach mill folder. Or perhaps email me with it.

I'm going out to the shop on Saturday morning. I'll zip up all my files and make them available. the ini/hal files posted here are not working.. I was getting help in a couple of cases. So no surprise that they errored out.

I'm using the same setup on my cnc router that has two y axis. Would it be possible to use one stepper drive for each y axis and be able to home them individually so it can square the gantry?

The answer you got and I also just replied to already answered this
you're also best to square your gantry mechanically, not using the motors to do it.
starting with a good square and trammed machine is best IMHO

Alright thanks. I already squared the frame and gantry. So should I just wire my two y axis drivers to one single y axis output?

if they are not, I can upload my current files for 2.22. I have it working with my spin indexer as well. although I need to figure out how to determine the number of steps to complete a 360 degree rotation

There's a rather large fly-in-the-ointment with dual joint/axis gantrys and PP:
PP is based on LinuxCNC 2.7 before the Joint/Axis changes were merged
so the 2 switch gantry homing/squaring that LinuxCNC 2.8+ can do is not supported by PP
