Does PathPilot II v2.7.1 have an Application Programming Interface (API) and how to access it?
How are parentheses with descriptions removed from programs that upon posting no parentheses?
How are duplicate coordinates removed from programs that upon posting no duplicate coordinates? For instance. G0 X1.1 Z.1; X.74 Z.1; G42 G1 X.74 Z.03 F.003; X.8 Z-.05; X.8 Z-.5; X1.0925 Z-.5; G40 X1.1;
Does PathPilot II v2.7.1 have an accessible operating system (storage, files etc.) and how?

The API to PathPilot (PP) is LinuxCNC's API. PP overall is a GUI Frontend for LinuxCNC with features such as its own conversational programming and some GCODE Remapping
PP is run on top LinuxMint with real-time extensions

Upon booting mini PC is PathPilot II primarily. Booting to the BIOS and selecting the other devices don't seem to have any storage and or files. The only applications accessible yet are some at Manual Data Input (MDI) and ADMIN menu to make some CNC adjustments such as soft limits, touchscreen, network etc. How's LinuxMint desktop accessed?

Linux boots normally. it is a UEFI Boot. if you escape soon enough you can see GRUB as you would normally.
check the pinned threads on this. those threads are a mix of 1.9 and 2.0 of PP but many of the concepts apply.

Upon bootup press shift key repeatedly. GRUB display and select Alternative Linux Kernel (Tormach Use Only), enter, select Linux Mint 17.3 MATE 64-bit, with Linux and enter. Automatically boots to PathPilot II. Is another key or a command used to bypass auto boot PathPilot II and enter Linux Mint?

The pinned threads cover your question on getting to a desktop, no sense in repeating it here.
