Hi,

I have built a linuxcnc plasma cutter and would like to add a crash detection feature. The plasma head is somehow flexible and a sensor detects if it hits something.

I am struggling with the best way of how to use the feature.
On a crash I would like to do the following:

- Pause the programm (would like to start again after fixing the issue)
- Stop the plasma
- Move up the plasma torch

Any idea how this could be achieved ?

Best wishes and thanks for any help

David

Are you running QtPlasmaC or PlasmaC?

If so, just use the breakaway input. This is standard behavior.

No, I did`t use one of the screes. I'll switch to one of the two. Sorry that I didn't realize this myself.

Thank you very much.

No worries. I’d recommend qtplasmac as plasmac is deprecated.
