I have found its not enough to use google to find a link. You always need to got to linuxcnc.org and follow through to the docs so you get the right info.

Its annoying that master branch does not get the images.

Yes, you need to make sure you are using the docs relevant to the version you are running.

Thats the risk you take using master. :)

Phill. I am going this route. From linuxcnc forum.linuxcnc.org/plasmac/37234-plasmac-documentation#143121

then looking at section 30.3

I am using 2.8.

OK, if you use the link to LinucCNC 2.8 it works.

I will remove the link to the PlasmaC docs on master.

Yes thanks Phil I know that the two are different but it is confusing when the manual docs point to the wrong place.

Personally, I think thats bullshit. Its actually a consequence of the dev team not rolling out 2.8 to replace V 2.7 in a timely fashion once they branched it off the master branch. 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 (master) should have only existed side by side for a matter of weeks, not years and years. Heck guys, I've never used the stable branch (2.7 when I started) becasue it never supported what I wanted. I;ve always used master, why would I change?

I checked out some forum datestamps and saw that I was sharing components for 2.8 on this forum over three years ago. Now we have a situation where some enhancements to master are being rolled back to V 2.8. Its really piss poor in my view and is holding the project back.

Yes I know, people will say open source, no warranty blah, blah, blah but really we are custodians of a brand and its up to us all to keep that brand moving forward. What we've done over the last couple of years has really hurt the brand.

Please fix it!

As you well know, master is the development branch and is liable to be broken from time to time. Released branches are irrelevant to that.
