Interesting. I use cut recovery a lot, but I don’t think I ever press the REV button (with the laser). I’d you press cycle pause, and then just use the directional arrows to use a new touch off point, does it behave differently?

I looked at the gcode file and nothing change in it when you do a recovery... it must be an internal code. I searched in the handler file but found nothing revelant so i think there must be a code file somewhere only for the cut recovery? I dont know much about the architecture of linuxcnc but i want to learn! If possible can you let me know if you found something please? Or at least just telling me where to search and maybe i could help you if i found something!

Alright i just tested what you tell me to do and that worked perfectly well! So its just when im using the laser with the rev button that it happen.

Thank you for doing the testing on that, that really helps narrow down where to look.
To be clear, you had the laser on still, you just didnt use REV, correct?

exact! but i did a test also with the laser using rev AND arrow key and it worked well also. so its only when i used the laser with rev but NO arrow key that the bug occur.

i tried a lot of different things to reproduce the framing bug but it did not happened. I'll keep an eye on that and if i found anything i will tell you!

Also i noticed few bugs, when you do cut recovery and align with the laser then restart the cut the torch will probe down normaly then start and made a weird move in z and never start moving in xy. Even with the arc ok.
A fix has been pushed for this. Thanks for the report.
