When probing down it does not reverse to go to probe height was created by Clive S
When probing torch down it does not reverse to go to probe height it continues going down.
Its been fine for some time until the float switch had to be replaced with a different type

It looks to me like you need to raise your probe height. It’ll do that double probe thing when it encounters the material before reaching probe height.

I would be tempted to use a switch that requires a lot less travel.

Or mount it more to the right as that would shorten the travel by a lot.
Also, from experience, those switches tend to cr@p out at random and often, while some work for many years without a hiccup.

Thanks for the input.
I think he has tried a different switch problem for me is the machine is about 120 miles round trip.
He had done a backup from the button.
What's the procedure to re install.
