New "BIG" Probe Basic Release for Develop Branch Incoming! was created by Lcvette
Hello All!
We are preparing to merge a BIG Probe basic update. it will require some config setting updates and some new folders be added. I have added a new "Update Release Notes" section to the docs page which should be very helpful going forward for when we have updates release. please feel free to have a look and give feedback!

Thanks for this Chris, especially pleased to seeing the lathe part getting TLC
I switched to develop branch and did the uninstall and reinstall, went like a charm!
I noticed that unlike Gmoccapy issuing G43 doesn't update the active G codes, G49 remains, is that expected?
Now for the newby bit, does tool touch off only work with an active (or passive) probe, so I need a probe wired in and configured to set tool offsets?
Or is this a G49 artifact from above?
Thanks again for this awesome interface and your work!

not sure what you are referring too with G43, it changes here but you must have a tool called with it to set the offset. no tool in the spindle will give no g43. here with tool in the spindle g43 works as expected and can swap back and forth between G43 and G49 and it shows as expected in the machine status column on the right side.
as for the probe question, im not sure what you are meaning? all probing in probe basic is predicated on using a wired probe or tool setter that can sent a signal to linuxcnc letting it know a probe move and event have occurred and been recorded.
can you elaborate on both above topics so i can better test and answer?
