Yesterday I got the designer and linuxcnc working just fine on Mint 19.1 and could control all machine functions. Before this I could open the designer without a problem but after running linucnc for sever hours and then opening the designer I get the below message and opening the designer fails. this does not make much sense since none of the files listed in the error message were changed by me.
cnc@cnc1:~/qtvcp-dev$ . ./scripts/rip-environment
cnc@cnc1:~/qtvcp-dev$ designer -qt=5
