Hi guys

I finished the construction of a CNC machine. The mechanics part are well made, measured to 0.01 accuracy.
I started testing on wood, but the results are poor (appendix).

Attachments:
  • Small squares are 8 x 8 mm

  • Letters size are 10 x 5 mm

I do not know where is the problem. Can you advise please?

Ball screw 1605
Work are:800x600x180mm

Hardware:
Step motors Leadshine
Drivers Leadshine EM806
Mesa 5i25 and 7i76

I have experienced different microsteps values:
4, 8, 16

Thank you very much.
Tomas

Just guessing, it seems like you are losing steps ( and maybe one axis only if the example pictures have the same orientation) ,
since your velocities and accelerations are very low, I dont think its related to velocity or acceleration settings.
You might try doubling the step time to see if that helps.

Thanks a lot.
There was a bad value in the driver setting in INI file. EM806 .

But the main problem was in mechanics.
The nut holding screw was loose and the screw moved.
